Just returned from a 4 night stay at etoile suites hotel with my husband and 3 month old daughter. We stayed in a diplomatic suite, which was fantastic value for money.
The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating, and were great with the baby. They set up a cot next to the lovely double bed and delivered jugs of hot water daily for us to make up the baby's milk.
The room itself was spacious, air-conditioned, had a great bathroom and good furnishings including a TV and a DVD player.
The hotel breakfast buffet was very good, and we also enjoyed the cocktails ordered on room service. one day we ordered a salad and a parma ham sandwich, which were both huge and well presented.
The hotel location could not be better - so central we could have quick trips back from all the main sights if we wanted to feed or change the baby, or just to have a general chill out in the relaxation room.
All in all, very comfortable stay in a lovely hotel, with friendly staff who were only too keen to help out.
Beirut as a place needs no write ups - beautiful city, we were blessed with good weather, and found some great little places to eat Can't wait to go back!
This is my second visit to Beirut and my first visit to Etoile Suites Hotel. The first thing we noted on our arrival was there was no rush just a real sense of calm welcome, a nice drink and a sit down whilst booking in. We had been collected from the airport so all in all by the time we entered our suite we were nicely chilled and ready for a great holiday. We were in the Diplomatic Suite, a beautiful light and spacious suite over looking the Place de L'Etoile. A welcome plate of fruit (a fresh one every afternoon) awaited us.
We had previously booked our restaurants through the hotel staff after having been sent a list. All of these turned out to be very good.
We had intended to go to the beach the next day so the Hotel managed to arrange at very short notice a car and driver to take us. This turned out to be the best part of our trip. He was wonderful even taking us to a store to purchase a charger for my husbands phone which he had forgotten to take.
he then took us to some small museums containing impressionist paintings in Byblos as he had listened to the kind of places we had wanted to visit. Nothing was too much trouble and this proved to be the point all through our holiday.
Over the following days that we spent with Etoile Suites they continued to provide us with many suggestions of places to visit some quite different to what we had originally chosen but all proved to be the best choice and their knowledge was greatly appreciated. All in all a wonderful place to stay., I did have great contact with other guests as with the hotel beeing a boutique hotel, and there was a fridge with wine champagne soft drinks and water that you could help yourself too along with tea and coffee in the lounge, Would definatly stay again when visiting Beirut.
